Storage Buffer : If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Endotoxin Level : Not tested-
Biological Activity : Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized CCL5 at 2 ?g/ml can bind human NTMT1, the EC50 of human NTMT1 protein is 3.029-5.404 ?g/ml.
Storage : Short term: -20°C; Long term: -80°C. Minimize freeze and thaw cycles.
Research Area : Cell Biology
Restriction : For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures, drug use, or for administration to humans or animals.
Relevance : Distributive alpha-N-methyltransferase that methylates the N-terminus of target proteins containing the N-terminal motif [Ala/Pro/Ser]-Pro-Lys when the initiator Met is cleaved. Specifically catalyzes mono-, di- or tri-methylation of exposed alpha-amino group of Ala or Ser residue in the [Ala/Ser]-Pro-Lys motif and mono- or di-methylation of Pro in the Pro-Pro-Lys motif. Some of the substrates may be primed by METTL11B-mediated monomethylation. Responsible for the N-terminal methylation of KLHL31, MYL2, MYL3, RB1, RCC1, RPL23A and SET. Required during mitosis for normal bipolar spindle formation and chromosome segregation via its action on RCC1.
